PINK LAKE – HUTT LAGOON

Situated in the Mid-West region of Western Australia and looking like a make-up palette this is the Hutt Lagoon – an iconic pink lake.
Although called a Pink Lake, its colour can vary from lilac to red depending on the time of the day.
The secret behind its appearance is that that saline is also an algae farm.
The seaweed grown here -Dunalielle salina- is rich in carotene, vitamin A, and is a widely-used food-colouring agent.
In 2014, World cosmetic leader Lancome has used Hutt Lagoon to shoot the new lipstick range campaign with Nicole Warner, a popular lifestyle and fashion blogger from Sydney.
