KALBARRI NATIONAL PARK

Situated where the Murchison River meets the Indian Ocean, Kalbarri is the Western Australian version of the Grand Canyon.

Popular among locals, Kalbarri, is an ocean-side playground offering white side beaches, coastal gorges, natural swimming pools (Blue Holes), walking trails and its own unique flora and fauna.

Red rock formations of the Kalbarri National Park are believed to be as old as 400 million years and they are truly spectacular.

My top recommended lookouts are:

-Natures Window- an iconic wind-eroded opening in thelayered sandstone that opens to a view  of the Murchison River

-Red Bluff – an ideal spot that offers views over the ocean and whale watching

-Z  Bend lookout- a scenic point with the view over Murchison River and gorges

-Kalbarri Skywalk- opened in June 2020, the twin overhanging steel structures open to new views over red-rust cleefs and the Murchison river

Thank you for reading and safe travels!
