‘Kia Ora’ aboard of Air New Zealand Business Premier
Dear followers,
We are back with the new review of Air New Zealand Business Premium Class.
We were lucky to board a Boeing 777-200 in Auckland for a 13-hour flight to Buenos Aires.
Below is our confession about what is it like flying a Business Premium by Air New Zealand.
Before you fly
The whole experience starts as with any other airline when you get priority on check –in followed by snacks and drinks while waiting for boarding in Air New Zealand lounge. Priority on boarding and here you are – ‘Kia Ora’ (welcome in NZ native Māori language) to Air New Zealand.
Seat and cabin
Air New Zealand Business Premium cabin has fishbone layout. It is fitted with
a 22 inches wide leather seat with a separate ottoman footrest. The armchair converts into a fully flat 6’7.5’’ bed.
In my personal opinion, the seats were not the most comfortable ones I‘ve ever seated on. I found it to be quite narrow. Also I don’t fancy that particular layout, as there is no privacy. I am a tall fit girl and the seats were not spacious enough for me, so I wonder if a NZ rugby player could, actually, fit in one of these armchairs.
Service and food
The crew was ultra friendly and attentive and always there to top up a glass of bubbly or make a bed when needed.
The wine list was incredible (as it should be, considering how beautiful NZ wines are). We were offered a glass of a nice NZ bubbles upon boarding and after takeoff French champagne was served.
The menu looked good and had a choice of delicious dinner and breakfast meals.
Entertainment
I would like to pay a particular attention to an in-flight entertainment aboard of Air New Zealand flight. It was definitely one of the richest selections of movies, TV shows, games, destination guides and many more!
Another thing I absolutely liked about it –is a ‘seat chat’ facility. Choose a seat and send a message to your flight neighbor. I guess that’s a good way to meet people.
If you are thirsty or need a snack, you can send a message to the crew and minutes later you will be served whatever you requested. This is a very awesome feature!
Goodie bag
You get a goodie bag with toothbrush and toothpaste; socks, earplugs, eye shades, pen and an Antipodes lip balm.
Verdict
Generally speaking, I liked flying ANZ but considering that I am a tall lady, my preference would go for airlines with bigger seats than ANZ. Anyone shorter that 5’9 would have a more comfortable flight than I did.
