Copenhagen at a Glance: a three-hour stopover itinerary

Dear followers,

If you, by any chance, are flying through Copenhagen and have couple of hours in between flights, this post will be useful as below I will describe an efficient way to sightsee the Danish capital in a few hours.

Copenhagen has a well developed infrastructure and it takes little effort to find your way to the city center. Just hop on the metro to Kongens Nytorv Station (this will take about 13-15 min) and from station walk to Memorial Anchor. You’ve reached Nyhavn- a 17-century waterfront, entertainment and canal District.copenhagen-028

Going North along Bredgate Road you will reach a Frederick’s Church and Amalienborg Square and Palace, which is the Danish Royal family’s winter residence.copenhagen-004 copenhagen-006 copenhagen-007 copenhagen-035copenhagen-034 copenhagen-033Keep going further north and you will arrive at Kastellet- a 17-century star fortress, which until now houses Danish Ministry of Defence.
