British Airways – Club World Business Class Experience

Dear all,

Below is a video and some photographs from our experience on British Airways- Club World Business Class.

We’ve had this class of travel on our trip to New York JFK on Boeing 777-300 and on the way back from NY on Boeing 747-400.

SOME COMMENTS:

It wasn’t a bad seat, however, the seats are quite narrow, in fact, they only seem to be slightly wider than the standard economy seat. On other airlines the Business Class seat configuration is usually  2-2-2 or 1-2-1, when on British Airways it was 2-4-2. British Airways Yin-Yang seats  alternate between facing forwards and backwards — all the window and middle seats are facing backwards and all the aisle seats are facing forwards. The seat converts into a 183 cm fully flat bed. There is a power supply for electronic devices, extra storage place and  a pop-up TV screen. The thing that we disliked about the seat is that if you seat by the window and are trying to get out of your seat, you cant do it without disturbing a person on the next row  as you will need to pass in front of him/her. Even worst if that person has made his full flat bed as you will then need to step over that person’s feet. So, no quite a direct aisle access.

On-Board entertainment was good: wide selection of movies, TV programs as well as  a British Airways monthly “High Life’ magazine.

Food was quite tasty. A selection of spirits, wines, French champagne– all available onboard of BA Club World. If you feel peckish there is a pantry with snack available on board.

Overall it was a pleasant experience ,however, wish the crew was more generous with drinks.
