Virgin Australia’s ‘The Business’
This is a review of the Virgin Australia’s ‘The Business’ – business class experience on A330-200.
PRE- FLIGHT
“The Business’ travelers are entitled for a priority check-in, increased baggage allowance and a priority baggage delivery on arrival.
‘The Business’ passenger is invited to spend waiting time in the Virgin Australia Lounge. These lounges are spacious and provide all sorts of soft drinks, alcoholic drinks and a rich selection of food and snacks.
SEATS
Virgin Australia A330-200 business class has 1-2-1 cabin configuration.
Seats are private, spacious, soft and can form into a fully flat 203 cm bed.
There is plenty of storage space in the ‘business suit’: under the seat, under the bench in front of the seat and even a special space for storing the iPad.
There are multiple lighting options available like focused reading light, soft lamp and the light which can brighten the whole suit that allow the passenger to light the suite to their own preference.
“The Business seats are work-friendly. The table can be adjusted to a needed height and moved sideways if needed for a better comfort. AC and USB sockets are available and hidden under large panels, which can also be used for document storage, for example.
ENTERTAINMENT
One of the things we liked a lot about flying Virgin is the availability of the movies, TV shows, educational programs and a great selection of music.
Seat-to-seat chat is also a great feature of Virgin Australia in-flight entertainment. All this is available on a 16- inch (41 cm) flat-screen.
The Airline magazine Voyeur and newspapers are also available.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
Dining options on board include ‘a la carte’ 3-course menu, express dining and pantry with the selection of gourmet snacks. All meals are complemented by a selection of Australian and international wines.
Drinks menu offers everything from spirits, wines, and dessert wines to Nespresso coffee and selections of premium T2 teas.
SERVICE
Cabin crew is friendly, attentive and professional. It won’t take long to get another drink or get help with converting the seat into a bed.
OTHER COMMENTS
We were very happy with Virgin Australia ‘The Business’ experience. The seat and the bed as well as the design appeal of the cabin were excellent. Service was great. Drinks were amazing. One this is that the food selection was great, however, some of the food didn’t taste as nice! There were no amenities on our flight that we think that providing these could be an important improvement. Even socks or slippers could do to have a better comfort on- board.
